It was installed along with some other stuff and it rebooted. When it rebooted it worked for the first time. When I installed other patches (windows update) it stopped working after the first reboot. I've tried all kinds of uninstall driver and reboot and uninstall drivers and reboot and on and on trying to get rid of this v1021 driver that keeps coming up. If I uninstall the hardware from the Device Manager window (no Linksys drivers, no Linksys software, no Wireless N USB network adapter v1021) and reboot and try to install the Linksys drivers (newly downloaded from Liniksys).

The machine still seems to pick the Wireless N USB network adapter v1021 driver over the driver that the Linksys WUSB300N software installs. When I get to the point where the Linksys software says plug in your hardware to the USB port. It finds both the v1021 driver and the WUSB300N adapter and then fails with a message that says 'Linksys Wireless-N USB Network Adapter WUSB300N This Device cannot start (Code 10)'. It looks like There is some driver out there (possibly the Marvell driver or maybe some v1021 driver) that seems to be in conflict or look like the Linksys WUSB300N.
