(sorry 4 my bad english) if u are suffering from this problem, u'll get a black screen after the splash screen, then lead to a app crash of MSCTF.dll w/ the code c0000005 I realize many people got this error,including me After whole lot of troubleshoot, I finally got the real solution of this crap in the case, setting the resolution doesn't help, neither the PhsyX thing so what the **** is going on here? This happen mostly on win7, because when Mirror's Edge was installed, 'Mirror's Edge.exe' automatically set to a compatibility mode as default, while Mirror's Edge CAN'T RUN under any of these compatibility mode what u have to do is just find ' Mirror's Edge.exe' which locate at X: Program Files Steam steamapps common mirrors edge Binaries, then cross out the freaking compatibility mode in Properties That's it, after this ur game should run fine:D at least mine do:/ Hope this help u after all:) and BTW, this is a really awesome game, looking forward to Mirror's Edge2.
